As the School for Poetic Computation grows, we’re excited to share a preview of our expanding programs. Our community asked for more flexible, informal, and accessible ways to take part — so we made them. Whether you’ve got lots of time or just a little, a full budget or need support, there’s something here for you.
Here’s what’s coming (and coming back!) to SFPC:
NEW! Weekend Intensives
Meet our brand new Weekend Intensives: short, focused, and full of spark. These two- to three-day workshops are designed for hands-on, collaborative learning — perfect for learning about a specific topic, project, or practice without the long-term commitment.
- Format: In-person at community partner sites
- Admission: Registration-based. Scholarships available — early sign-up encouraged!
Public Programs
SFPC is more than a school, it’s a community. Our new Public Programs series invites everyone in. Join us for events like panels, guest lectures, political education sessions, and casual hangs with refreshments. Whether you're curious about what we do or already part of our community, all are welcome.
- Format: In-person (and sometimes online!)
- Admission: Free/low-cost with registration — open to all
Online Classes
Our seasonal online/hybrid classes aren’t going anywhere! These 5- and 10-week courses invite students and educators to explore critical intersections of art, technology, and community organizing through deep, collective learning.

- Admission: Application-based (scholarships available!)

Once you’re part of SFPC, you’re always part of SFPC — and we’re making it even easier for alumni to return.
Audits
Want to rewatch a favorite class or catch one you missed? Alumni can register to access past SFPC classes asynchronously through our Audit program (at a low cost, on a sliding scale). Dive back into recorded lectures, readings, and materials at your own pace, on your own time.
- Format: Online & asynchronous
- Admission: Registration-based, open to SFPC alumni only
NEW! Guaranteed Admission
We’ve reserved a number of seats just for alumni in upcoming classes — no application necessary. If you’ve taken an online SFPC class before, you qualify for guaranteed admission (at full tuition and redistribution ticket rates). Just register, and you’re in.

- Admission: Reserved seats for SFPC alumni
