Description

Ekene Ijeoma is a Brooklyn based artist and designer. He does data-driven and generative design projects ranging from commercials and music videos to interactive media and installations. Ijeoma's award-winning projects have been exhibited at the Istanbul Design Biennial, Vignelli Center and Salone del Mobile and featured in MoMA Design and Violence and more.   Ijeoma was awarded scholarships to study Information Technology BS with minor in Environmental Studies and Science Technology Studies from Rochester Institute of Technology and Interaction Design MFA at Domus Academy (Milan, IT). He was also awarded a grant to do an artist in residency at Fabrica (Treviso, IT). He has taught at Parsons Design and Technology undergraduate and critiqued at Yale Graphic Design graduate programs.    He currently works in Bloomberg's Visual Data team and has previously worked with Local Projects, Pentagram, Google Creative Lab, Wolff Olins and more. He'll showing a behind the scenes look at how he has used code and data to design for art and commerce.
