Join us for the SFPC Fall 2017 Student Showcase at: 155 Bank Street, NYC Free and open to publicNov 11th: 2pm - 9pm  *Surprise performance at 7pm* Nov 12th: 12pm - 5pm School for Poetic Computation (SFPC) an independent school for art and technology, based at 155 Bank street, the Westbeth Artists’ Housing in New York City. SFPC’s motto is “More Poetry, Less Demo!” and we invite you to SFPC Fall 2017 Student Showcase, where you can participate in artistic experiments, enjoy unexpected surprises and be inspired to start new collaborations. This showcase is an open studio, a chance for our community to observe the students’ journey of “poetic computation” and see their works in progress. 18 students spent 10 weeks exploring code, hardware and critical theory through courses, student-lead workshops and discussions at SFPC. Come meet our amazing students, celebrate their hard work and hang out. The artists, computational poets, and students:  Amit Runchal, Ann TBD, April Soetarman, Colin Wang, Diego Salinas, Fernando Ramallo, Guillermo Montecinos-Peña, Heather Moore, Hyojin Yoo, Kaitlin E Schaer, Matt Jacobson, Matthew Ortega, Niklas May, Qiao Lin, Stacy Kellner, Wei He, Ying Quan Tan, Yumi Nishida           Also, homework and class projects from our four tracks of studies 1. Code (taught by Zach Lieberman with support from Robby Kraft), 2. Critical theory (taught by Morehshin Allahyari with support from Melanie Hoff), 3. Hardware (taught by Taeyoon Choi and Pam Liou with support from Max Fowler) and 4. Code Poetry (taught by Ramsey Nasser, Sam Lavigne and Nick Montfort with support from Todd Anderson). The showcase will be produced by Lauren Gardner, SFPC faculty, and the students.
